Biking in Blue Mountain on a Fall Getaway
Fall is prime time for cycling around South Georgian Bay and The Blue Mountains trails. The roads are quieter, the temperatures cooler and a trails are well-kept. The Georgian Trail is just steps away from your suite at Royal Harbour Resort, where you can cycle easily to Meaford and back, along the shores of Georgian Bay. All the events happening throughout the fall celebrate the best of the season. On the first weekend in October, the Apple Harvest Craft Show is on, attracting close to 200 artisans and crafters. Plus there are more farmers markets’, concerts, exhibitions, and smaller events than you can shake an autumn leaf at.
Immerse Yourself in the Arts
With the awe-inspiring scenery and unique culture in the towns of Collingwood, Clarksburg (“Artsburg”) and Meaford, it’s no wonder the arts abound. Autumn is a great time to visit local artists by exploring galleries and studios. The Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts is the place to go for a showcase of creative works and exhibits. On Thanksgiving weekend, explore open studios in the beautiful Town of the Blue Mountains during Tour of the Arts. Art studios are within a 20-minute drive of each other and many are within walking distance of Royal Harbour Resort.
